Mr Armstrong is an avid teacher of fellow professionals and non professionals alike. He is a frequently invited speaker at national courses and conferences. He achieved the PGCert Medical Education from the University of Nottingham.
He was recently appointed Honorary Assistant Professor, University of Nottingham, Medical School.
He is the current Medical School Lead in Hand Surgery Education in Derby.
He also sits on the BSSH Education Committee (Term 2018-2020)
He also is in the process of curating content for the Pulvertaft Hand Centre YouTube Channel
